History
The Hungarian Design Council got things moving in 2004. The goal was simple: get design into the heads of everyday Hungarians and put local talent on the map. It worked. Public Transport
Take Bus 16 from Deák Ferenc tér or Széll Kálmán tér to the 'Bécsi kapu tér' or 'Kapisztrán tér' stops in the Castle District. Alternatively, walk up from Batthyány tér (M2 metro).
By Car
Driving into the Castle District (District 1) is restricted for non-residents. Park at the 'Várkert Bazár' underground garage or Széll Kálmán tér and take the bus or walk.
By Taxi / Rideshare
Taxis can drop passengers at Bécsi kapu tér; use the Bolt or Főtaxi apps to avoid hailing on the street.
