Your night kicks off at The Mirage, a sleek venue sitting at Prater 75. Don’t expect a standard theater. Once you pass the box office, you’re in a world of mirrors and velvet. Grab your seat, dive into the organic bread and spreads, and wait for the lights to go down. The Strauss Philharmonic doesn't hold back. They power through three acts of Johann Strauss favorites, punctuated by soprano solos and ballet sequences that spill out into the aisles. It's fast. It’s loud. And it’s fun. An English-speaking host keeps things moving with actual jokes, so you won't feel lost in the tradition. The food arrives in the gaps between the music. You’ll get a four-course spread featuring beef tartare and a classic Viennese roast. The kitchen team times everything perfectly. No one wants to hear a fork scrape during a violin solo, and here, they don’t have to.

Get to The Mirage by 7:00 PM. The show starts at 7:30 PM, but you’ll want those thirty minutes to drop your coat, swap your voucher, and get a drink order in. The first course hits the table before the curtain rises. Dress is casual chic. Don't stress about a tuxedo, but leave the gym clothes at the hotel. Smart trousers and a button-down will do. Your ticket covers the four-course meal, but your bar tab is extra. Expect to pay for your wine, beer, or soda at the end of the night, unless you booked a VIP spot, which includes a bottle of sparkling wine. The commute is easy. Take the U1 or U2 to Praterstern or the U2 to Messe-Prater. Both are a short walk away. If you’re driving, park at the Campus Prater garage. The whole place is wheelchair accessible, but ask for balcony or tier seating to get the best views.
